What You’ll Do
- Monitor and manage inventory levels
- Review and analyze sales forecast and inventory data to set target safety levels for production planning
- Anticipate supply problems and implement resolution, manage inventory trend projections, and provide clear scheduling direction
- Analyze weekly supply versus demand and implement any required actions
- Initiate discussions with Sales regarding excessively low or high inventory positions to proactively manage stock outs and write offs due to short dating
- Lead the Production Planning team in ensuring a high level of service to Sales while minimizing additional costs
- Monitor accuracy of PO’s – pricing and date requirements
- Communicate production forecasts with key manufacturers
- Build and maintain contract manufacturing and internal relationships
- Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback to key vendors
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or similar required. Master’s degree desirable
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or related
- 5+ years Master Scheduling/ Supply Planning experience
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment or contract manufacturing environment
- Demand Planning experience preferred
- Supply Chain certification preferred (APICS or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to solve complex issues
- Proven ability to coach team members and streamline processes
- Organized and can prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Can perform well and be flexible to adapt and deliver high-quality under deadlines
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint
- Experience with NetSuite ERP
- Experience with physical and system inventory reconciliations
- Experience tracking budget expenses
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
