Supply Planning Manager

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels
  • Review and analyze sales forecast and inventory data to set target safety levels for production planning
  • Anticipate supply problems and implement resolution, manage inventory trend projections, and provide clear scheduling direction
  • Analyze weekly supply versus demand and implement any required actions
  • Initiate discussions with Sales regarding excessively low or high inventory positions to proactively manage stock outs and write offs due to short dating
  • Lead the Production Planning team in ensuring a high level of service to Sales while minimizing additional costs
  • Monitor accuracy of PO’s – pricing and date requirements
  • Communicate production forecasts with key manufacturers
  • Build and maintain contract manufacturing and internal relationships
  • Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback to key vendors

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or similar required. Master’s degree desirable
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or related
  • 5+ years Master Scheduling/ Supply Planning experience
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment or contract manufacturing environment
  • Demand Planning experience preferred
  • Supply Chain certification preferred (APICS or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to solve complex issues
  • Proven ability to coach team members and streamline processes
  • Organized and can prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Can perform well and be flexible to adapt and deliver high-quality under deadlines
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP
  • Experience with physical and system inventory reconciliations
  • Experience tracking budget expenses
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
